Osun Governor Joins Nephew Davido in U.S. for Wedding, APC Questions Prolonged Absence

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has flown to the United States to attend the highly publicized white wedding ceremony of his nephew and global music sensation, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.

“As the governor of all and sundry, we as a party need to know his whereabouts and who has been holding fort in his absence for the past two weeks.”

They went further to ask whether Governor Adeleke transmitted power to his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, as required by law, noting that failure to do so undermines the smooth operation of the state.

In defense, Rasheed clarified that the trip is strictly personal and not an official vacation, pointing out that Governor Adeleke has not taken any break since assuming office in November 2022.

“Even this current trip will be a short one,” he assured, emphasizing the governor’s ongoing communication with his deputy, who is currently overseeing government affairs.
